how to use 

while most smoothing treatments alter hair’s natural pattern, this formula was developed to offer a smoothing solution for all hair types with results that still look and feel like your client’s hair. to achieve this, there are two different applications and styling directions to better suit your client’s specific hair needs.

natural curl smoothing instructions: 

1. wash hair with pro smooth over priming shampoo—the perfect prep step to clarify, breakdown buildup, and create a clean base so the treatment can properly penetrate the strands. repeat this step for thicker, coarser hair. towel dry hair.  

2. divide hair into 4 parts, spray treatment 4-6” away on 1” thick sections, ½" inch from the scalp. comb through evenly. 
3. process without heat for 20 minutes. 
4. blow dry using diffuser until 100% dry. 
5. rinse hair with water (do not shampoo) and apply an amika conditioner or mask. rinse.  
6. dry with a diffuser to see final results. 

straight smoothing instructions:

• for medium to coarse color-treated or chemically treat hair: 410°F / 210 °C 
• for fine virgin hair: 400°F / 200 °C 
• for medium to coarse virgin hair: 420°F / 215 °C 

6. rinse hair with water (do not shampoo) and apply an amika conditioner or mask. rinse. 
7. blow dry with a round brush or paddle brush and then silk press or flat iron to see final results.
