I used this treatment in my salon , just recently on my client and the results were incredible! She has a combo of 3c to 4a, hair curl type …she wanted it straightened! Her hair came out silky, smooth, and completely frizz-free without feeling heavy. The shine was noticeable right away and it made styling so much easier. She loved how soft and healthy her hair felt. My stylist did this treatment on my hair a few days ago. I just washed it for the first time. And the smell my hair had while washing and now while it’s still wet is horrendous. It smells like boiled cabbage. However, the results for the few days post treatment were okay at best. I did not have to touch up my hair with my flat iron , but I did still have some frizz. Idk how it’s going to do now that’s it’s been washed. But …the smell is quite off-putting. For me to be willing to do this again , I better not have to use my flat iron any more often than on wash days, for at least 4 weeks.

After trying Amika’s smoothing treatment, I love that it’s so easy to do on clients and myself. My hair is super shiny and smooth after using.
I also don’t feel like this smells??? Even if it did to others the results would outmatch any bad smell. Personally, I think it smells good.
Don’t overload the hair with product though, less is more! :)
I performed the straight smoothing option on my very thick 3b hair before heading south on vacation to a humid environment. There was a smell during the flat ironing phase but once I completed the rinse and condition I did not smell anything again. This was a game changer for me. It cut my styling time in half and did not frizz as soon as I walked outside. Also, I had a full head of foils done about 10 days prior and there was no damage from doing this treatment.
